Stunning view on the seaside, staff always very polite and friendly, excellent breakfast, very good position for a walk on the charming old city

Good location to wander the old city.

Convenient to the old city. Nice views of the ocean front.

Was a bit out from the nicer neighborhoods. The area at night was a bit creepy but during the day perfectly acceptable. The area has great art nouveau architecture in need of renovation. Nice museums close by. I would say the facilities were a bit run down. We like the NH brand and have stayed in others with great breakfast offerings and a restaurant

Wonderful location and staff.but eat breakfast elsewhere

Excellent location and Leonardo at the front desk was superb! Thanks to Leonardo’s help we were able to explore the entire historic district of Montevideo. He was never too busy to smile and assist us with any questions we had. He was polite, professional, friendly and an amazing multitasker. NH Columbia is very lucky to have him.

The breakfast was very expensive and horrible. I asked if there were any eggs. They said yes and then served powdered eggs scrambled without even a bit of salt or other seasoning. Most of the buffet table was multiple trays of cookies and day old sweets cut into little cubes. Nice to look at but not fresh. Less and fresh would have been better. The fruit was okay and most was freshly cut.

The whole stay was very nice! Beautiful view, clean, the online problem was the miscomunication

I loved the view of the rooms and of the breakfast place. It is near from many important points!

I didn't like when I've booked it wasn't clear the breakfast was not included and I have to pay for it. Then, they offer it to me for a price with discount and in next Day, I was in the place to have breakfast and they present me the price without discount to sign. But nobody explain me I have to ask for it before to receive the discount! But at the end the problem aborto discount was solved!

I visit MVD once every year and always stay at the NH. It is always an agreeable visit and NH is par

I had to pay for an upgrade because the room they had in mind for me had a maintenance problem. The view over the river is unbeatable. Breakfast is spartan. The media-lunas didn't look fresh. The pancitos didn't look fresh. But overall it was Ok

The shower is in a bath tub. Those are very slippery. I asked, as usual, for a rubber mat. This time they didn't have one for me.

Good

View was terrible since we were at the back of the building. Breakfast could have had some extra items such as nuts, muesli, stewed dried fruit, freshly cooked eggs. I do not eat scrambled eggs since they are often made of egg powder.

A convenient location with walking distance of the ferry terminal but much nicer hotels and areas in the city.

A nice clean hotel with good facilities.

We chose the location to be near the ferry terminal but it is not a nice location with a lot of rubbish in the area and not safe to walk around, especially at night.

Wonderful

The people at the Hotel was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very good, clean and comfortable Location very good we could walk to most of the places of interest. All the street stalls a pleasure to walk and buy small items, all the sellers are very interesting. Beautiful Cathedral in the main square and some museums.

The area surrounding the Hotel will definitely boost tourism if its upgraded and painted. Lots of ugly grafity on old historical buildings.

It was great, friendly staff, good food, great views.

Not about the property but location was not good if you are in Montevideo for leisure. It’s the old city, many shops were closed and everything quite far away.
